Back from the almost dead…Thankfully

brainHello everyone,

This post has been a long time coming, because quite a lot has happened to me in the past few months since my last post. For starters, I secured a job with a wonderful company named Attain and that is the really good news because 1 week after I started (no kidding), I was involved in an accident that left me with a very serious traumatic brain injury that I could have died from. Thankfully, I did not, but I did have to spend several weeks recovering and could do no work during that time.

Despite this, my fantastic new employer, supported and encouraged me and granted me Short term disability so I could stay in bed and get the rest that my brain needed to recover. I am still in recovery, but back to work now. Brain injuries are no joke people and the recovery has been so much longer than I ever thought possible, but I am getting better.

In fact, I am getting so much better that I am starting work (on the weekends) for a new Pluralsight course titled, “Building Your First Lightning Web Component for Salesforce”. I am hoping to have it complete before Dreamforce this year and will start making teaser posts for it very soon. So be on the lookout for those.

Anyway, more from me soon and thanks so much to my employer Attain for giving me the time I needed to heal. And thank you Pluralsight for allowing me to stretch out the normal time for a course completion. I really think that when it is done, it will be my best course yet.

  1. You are a strong lady!!! Really happy that you are doing great. Looking forward for your Pluralsight course and definitely meeting you in person @ DF19.

  2. So sorry to hear about your accident. You are one strong and smart woman — which always amazes me! Take care and let me know if I can do anything for you, my friend!
